Julianne Hough's Dancing Shorts

Dancing With the Stars is my guilty obsession. It's gotten so bad, that this year, I did not even bother tuning into Idol.
However, the season, that wrapped up on Tuesday, was actually pretty lame. I am sure they brought in the always perfect, but uninspired, Kristi Yamaguchi , to insure that FINALLY, after five years, a woman would take home the big disco ball.
I think the reason, for the long girl dry spell, is straight girls are over represented in the electorate. Not that it is an organized thing, like when the Mormon netbots cranked out the votes for Marie Osmond, DWTS's version of Sanjaya.
Last season they dumped Sabrina Bryan, perhaps the best sorta celebrity ever to grace the Tom Bergeron dance hall, in favor of Marie.
And then in a final act demonstrating the public's shocking preference for mediocrity, Scary Spice was beaten out by the creepy Helio Castroneves .
But perhaps the reason the Cheshire Cat of the car racing world took the trophy was his partner Julianne Hough, who Helio was so sure was part of the prize package that he broke up with his fiancée.
But who can really blame him. Julianne Hough is an adorable dancer extraordinaire , as is her brother, Derek, who is now ripping up bed sheets from LA to Vegas with his celeb partner, the twiggy , but buxomous , Shannon Elizabeth:
The Houghs are Mormons, and it is no surprise that the junior dance champs on DWTS were also from Utah. It is not widely known—but Mormons are great dancers.
When I was in high school some friends and I, were often invited to the weekly Mormon Dances. If they were concerned about having the wicked Catholic girls over, they never showed it. But the dancing was a heck of a lot better than over at the public high school dances. And when I danced with some of the Mormon girls, the chaperons thought it was just good wholesome fun.
Anyway Julianne and Derek are great hoofers, as is Marie Osmond actually.
This season I think the producers also loaded the dice so that Julianne would not win three times in a row. Partnering her up with Adam Corolla pretty much insured that.
So after Adam got the boot, Julianne finished up her debut country western album, which was released on Tuesday. Unlike her dancing, the singing is what everyone these days calls “inoffensive.”
However, I am sure it will strike a chord with plenty of teenage boys.I am posting the music video from the album because, from time to time, I try to get back to the central theme of this blog.
Juliane's shorts are short, and the pier she prances along is long:
I wish Julianne the very best with the album.
But I also hope she keeps her day job.

That was a great post about my favorite show as well. I love Julianne she's such a cutey. Yeah it was annoying that Kristi won I was hoping it would be Jason because I think it meant so much to Edyta. She finally got a decent partner. And I agree it is a little known fact that Mormons are great dancers. Keep up the great posts. I love your blog. Emma
This can be a fun show. I just don't believe Derek is straight! But whatevah.
I like So You Think You Can Dance better, though--much more exciting dancing.
I agree w/kate evans. I'm not buying the photo shoot on the beach.
But, he is adorable.
Jason Taylor was a local, home grown boy. I remember him playing HS football. I think his dancing was good, but not great. The match up between Christian and Kristi was fair and pretty much a toss up. At least to my "highly trained" eye. (And if you saw me dance, you'd be howling at that.)
best regards!
Peg
Oh you girls--thinkin' all guys that can dance are gay:)

Do you know rohan crone? I like it.
My brother often go to the internet bar to buy rohan gold and play it.
After school, He likes playing games using these rohan online crone with his friend.
I do not like to play it. Because I think that it not only costs much money but also spend much time. One day, he give me many rohan online gold and play the game with me.
I came to the bar following him and found rohan money was so cheap. After that, I also go to play game with him.
