Guns and the Intelligent Gay Girl

I realize holophobic liberals are disappointed, and despondent, over the Supreme Court's ruling that the Second Amendment means what it says, and is not just the National Guard Enabling Act. Just the same, it is not very nice when their frustration takes on tones of homophobia.
Over at the “progressive” web site Americablog, John Aravosis found it odd that the Log Cabin Republicans sent out a press release applauding the decision in District of Columbia v. Heller.RenoAnn wondered how the Log Cabins could issue such a statement “without the assistance of their sister organizations The Jewish Nazis and Blacks For The Klan.”
If that little hussy said that in my presence I wouldn't shoot her, but I'd bitch slap her to kingdom come.
Mr. Aravosis just couldn't figure it out. He thought it must have something to do with a misguided perception that guns would help prevent violence against gays.
He then adolescently dismissed that ludicrous concept with “Uh, okay.”Who appointed those two breeders to be the ultimate arbiters of the gay agenda? And how offensive for them to label any gay person, who disagrees with them, as an “Uncle Tom.”
The day John Aravosis or RenoAnn come face to face with someone who wants to beat the holy crap out of them, on account of their sexual orientation, they will be entitled to say something on this issue.
A few years ago my sister, one of our girlfriends and I went to a country western honky tonk in Spokane, Washington. Incidentally, my sister is straight.
It was not all that crowded. And, as is so often the case, the few pretend cowboys that were there, preferred to sit on their butts downing beers. So all three of us, off and on, danced with each other. At one point this pimply faced asshole in a dirty muscle shirt, started to shout out some homophobic slurs. We just ignored him. Then he was joined by a couple of other toadies.
To avoid trouble, we left. But these guys, thinking it was their god given duty to teach wanton girls morality, caught up and surrounded us. They crudely told us what dirty cunts we were, and then started shoving . One spat on my sister. I grabbed her and attempted to push through the drunken wall of hate.
Then zit face put a brass knuckle on his fist, and stepped toward me. I am one of those rare lesbians who not only accessorizes with a purse, but keeps a glock in it. I pulled the gun out, and shoved it in his repulsive face.“You crazy bitch!!!”
Then...“I'm calling the cops.”
Which would have been fine as far as I was concerned--I had a few complaints myself.
But they just backed off, soothing their bruised egos with a slurry of profanity.
I don't know for sure what would have happened if I had not been armed, but I don't think it would have been pretty. It is certainly possible that gun saved our lives, and at the very least it prevented a severe beating and possible rape.LGBT folks put up with hate on a regular basis. And there is not always a cop around to intervene. There is also the problem of homophobic apathy among segments of the law enforcement community.
Simply having a gun, and knowing how to use it can help build self-respect for gay and lesbian people.
The majority of gays are anti-gun. But this is only because most gays find salvation in leftist/liberal politics and the Democratic Party. The primary reason gays and lesbians tend to be liberals is, even though the Democrats totally ignore them after election day, unlike the Republicans, they don't formally and officially advocate bigotry as a desirable public policy.
However, there are LGBT groups, besides the Log Cabin Republicans, that try to explain to the gay and lesbian community that simply knowing there is a tool available, that can stop them from being killed, because of their sexual orientation, can be extremely liberating.
The Pink Pistols were founded in 2000 by queer libertarian activist Douglas Krick (better known as Krikett). There are now over forty chapters.
Pink Pistol's sole purpose is to take the scariness and mystique out of guns—and show that they are simply a tool. They try to get gays and lesbians not to be afraid of the one instrument that, when used properly and legally, can save their lives
There are, despite the ignorance of the Americablog commentators, several other gay organizations which are pro-firearm.
Second Amendment Sisters are both straight and gay girls. Gays & Lesbians for Individual Liberty submitted, in conjuction with Pink Pistols, an amicus brief in support of the plaintiffs in the Supreme Court case. The Gay Independent Forum recognizes that gun rights are gay rights, as do the Outright Libertarians.
The Libertarian Party is the only political party to file an amicus brief on behalf of the Heller plaintiffs. The Libertarian Party has always supported the Second Amendment. It also, unlike the Republicans or Democrats, strongly supports full and complete rights for LGBT individuals.
For the past few years the Republican Party has prospered quite nicely on God, guns and gays. The Supreme Court has taken the gun issue away from them.Which is a real good reason for gays and lesbians to rethink it.

Stop bashing gays.
No, seriously. They carry guns now.
I guess this happens to be a subject we agree on completely. I think I'm going to but a T-shirt from Pink Pistols now. I've been wanting one for the longest time...
Thanks for providing information on the other 2A groups. Now could you please tell me the ring leader crapped his pants?
I hate guns, the idea of them, look of them, what they are inteded to do. I would never have one, but they do sometimes save people's lives in self defense. I just wish there were more education about them because people who choose to have them are so often idiots who allow kids to get at them and then the kid ends up accidentally killing or maiming someone. I also wish (but realize it's a wish in vain) that American culture were as void of guns and violence as Japanese culture is. I felt much safer living alone and going anywhere at any time I wanted as a woman in Japan than I ever have in the US.
Dear Becky,
Bravo to you for standing up to those assholes!!! More power to you...BUT I must give you some advice my dear...Please, for your own safety, get a good leather holster for your Glock!!!! DO NOT carry it in your purse!!!! Ask any police officer or firearms training instructor and they will explain what I'm about to explain: If, God forbid, you should get mugged or get your purse snatched, there will be another gun in the hands of a criminal, plus if you're attacked and you by some chance don't have your purse with you, then you'll be in a world of shit...So please, get a good leather holster for your Glock....Galco, Bianchi, and Fobus make excellent holsters in many different price ranges...Hope this will help you, keep up the good work!!! Your site's great!!!
Do you know buy lindens? I like it.
My brother often go to the internet bar to buy second life linden and play it.
After school, He likes playing games using these cheap linden with his friends.
I do not like to play it. Because I think that it not only costs much money but also spend much time. One day, he give me many linden dollars and play the game with me.
I came to the bar following him and found secondlife money was so cheap. After that, I also go to play game with him.
