Lesbian Military Drum Out

The Marines are the least likely of any branch of the armed services to drum out a gay blade or a lesbian lizzie.
Perhaps this is because they are more concerned that a Marine is capable of biting the head off a chicken, and could give a hoot about how they fuck. Besides, if they dug too deeply into what Marines did in their spare time, the corps would cease to exist. But seriously, I have always thought, if I was to go the military route, I would sign up with the Marines—if they would have me:
Semper Fi
However, the Navy is quite concerned about unpatriotic gays and lesbians turning the US Fleet into a freakin' floating orgy. They toss out the most homos.
But it is the Army and Air Force which discharges the most lesbians under “don't ask don't tell.” More lesbians get the boot then gay men.
A number of people, including gay activists, are acting quite surprised that lesbians would be targeted more than gay men. They shouldn't be.
It's true lesbians are more accepted in one way. Straight guys not only don't find girl on girl moshing repulsive, they will pay good money to watch, generally pretend, lesbians do all manner of nasties.
But lets face it, liberation through porn, only goes so far.
Lesbians are subject to all the vaginal caste obstacles straight women are, plus the licking thing.
While a guy might be quite tolerant of a girl's indulgence in mud wrestling, when she is his boss, it is a bitch of a different color.
A lot of men struggle with having a female boss—and if she is a man hating carpet muncher—“Just put a bullet through my head.”
It has to be most excruciating for these guys in a military command setting.
But if the Sarge reprimands you—and it is pretty darn clear the bitch is a dyke—there is that nice “don't ask don't tell” pay back option.
Of course, the way to stop this, is to trash "don't ask, don't tell."If the young E-1 didn't like the Muff Eater telling him what to do
—he could eat dirt.

i suspect part of the reason may be that lesbians are more likely to be open about their sexuality than gay men; especially within the military culture... just a theory of course but i do know two women that got booted after a party where they got busy with each other, and were encouraged by a lot of the spectators.. it was not much more than kissing and making out and no-one at the party seemed to be upset about it, it was in fact wildly encouraged and, both girls were good workers....
The link that you are using to point out the Marines discharge gays at a lower rate than other services is out dated.
In 2005 the Marines discharged at a rate of 1 in 2483, the Navy 1 in 2112, Air Force 1 in 3730 and the Army 1 in 1347.
Also the Advocate link that you used implies that a person discahrged under don't ask don't tell automatically receives a dishonrable discharge. That is untrue it is a type warranted by service record discharge - in other words if all other service would have qualified the member for an honorable discharge then they will get an honorable discharge.
I served 14 years in the Army and Navy, and of the time 8 years was spent as a Corpsman attached to Marine Corps units.
In that time I never had a junior troop or sailor approach me saying that a guy was making unwanted homosexual advances on them (a number of times with girls complaining about guys and we hammered them if the behavior didn't change) but I can think of 3 times and I think there might have been a 4th where females complained about other females. I don't know if this indicates that the lesbians in question were more aggressive, if women were just less likely to be embarrassed by reporting the issue or if it was used as retaliation, but I think that explains at least part of the discrepancy.
hammered the guys for harrassement that is :-) in the 90s post tailhook that was the career kiss of death
Great post, as usual.
One question....
How do you always find such great pictures?
One other thing. It isn't that easy to trash Don't Ask Don't Tell. It isn't a DoD policy that can be changed by a SECDEFINST or Executive Order. It's a law - passed by Congress, signed by President Clinton. I was on active duty at the time and disagreed with it then and would still support it's repeal but you have to get congress to vote to repeal it.
Our country is so backward. Many other countries have out gay people serving in their militaries and no one cares. Same with same-sex marriage: Canada hasn't imploded.
