Girls Gone Bankrupt

“Girls

BeckyWallowing up to the federal feeding trough, right next to the bankers, governors, mayors and corporate welfare queens here comes Hustler's Larry Flynt and Girls Gone Wild Chief Erection Officer Joe Francis.

“LeahAlthough I suppose that, like with foregoing repeal of DOMA and “don't ask don't tell”, the counsel of pentecostal preacher, Howard Dean hack and Democratic Convention CEO Leah Daughtry will persuade President Obama not to bailout the porn industry---- but my gawd is this thing ever getting sick.

“New I hear that Obama and his top advisers are devouring books on FDR and the New Deal. I really do hope they are actually reading these. If so they will learn that no reputable economist, including Great Depression academic expert and spendthrift-in-chief Ben Bernanke, believes that the New Deal ended the depression (it was ended by the bombing of Pearl Harbor), and a whole bunch think it not only made it worse, but set the stage for our current economic woes.

“FDR's So may I just suggest, before going further in doing this New New Deal, be sure to include these books on the presidential reading list: FDR's Folly, Traitor to His Class, Salvos Against the New Deal, A Bubble That Broke the World, Ex America: The 50th Anniversary of the People's Pottage, New Deal or Raw Deal, Country Squire in the White House, The Forgotten Man, America's Great Depression, and The Decline of American Liberalism.

Or at least take a look at this summary from Reason Magazine:

But the thing we should really be concerned about is if Obama decides to listen to his core supporters, and returns to his true ideological bent, and decides that FDR did not go far enough.

Obama
is throwing a bone to conservatives by recommending some tax cuts, even though it is upsetting his core supporters, who are committed to removing as much money as possible from greedy working stiffs, and placing it in the public sector to fund the government's primary function as a tool of social good.

“IRS And then the IRS announced, that they are going to get big hearted and lighten up on some of their more goonish collection techniques.

“Barbarella" A sane observer from the planet Lythion ,looking down on all this from the vantage of the moon, would wonder why, if the government is increasing spending by another 700 billion to a trillion dollars, on top of the record busting deficit that George Bush and the Republicans left us—why on earth would taxes be decreased, and collections slowed down.

“income Well, the reason is that the money lifted from the pockets of taxpayers is kind of small potatoes these days. Nowadays, if our government needs money they just print it. The primary purpose of the income tax is now just to coerce us into doing things we don't want to do.

“China Even our good buddies in China, who are having their own problems because we finally got even with them for all the toxic toys and tainted pet food by shipping over billions of dollars of worthless securities, are beginning to balk at lending anymore money.

“Printing But that's alright-- the Fed is printing away. In the last six months they printed up two trillion dollars, and distributed it to various financial institutions (whom they refuse to identity).

Obama's plan to reduce taxes, while wildly increasing spending puts him solidly in the George Bush camp of economic irresponsibility.

And now he is using fear to scare us into immediate action on all this.

Just like the old boss.

I heard The One say today that government is the only answer to the financial mess facing the Country.

That is a first and portends great disharmony in the offing.

God help us!

As obnoxious as he is, I can't help but admire Larry Flynt, always willing to put his thumb right where it should be-in The Man's eye.

Honestly, I'd rather see him with gov't cash than every other "essential" blow-job out there-might even call it justice, since were it not for the theocrats in Cincinnati he'd likely still be able to walk(no publicity, no assassination attempt).

Better role model than any congress denizen, at least.

You know, Obama's plan to create a million jobs through infrastructure projects is, for lack of a better term, pissing into the wind. We created 12 million new jobs during the good times. They were taken by illegals who promptly sent the money back or brought their friends over to get on the gravy train. They took liar's loans and pumped up the cost of housing so that nobody could really afford it anymore, whereupon it crashed and took a lot of fictitious wealth with it. They defaulted, stuck the banks with a huge number of bad loans and tanked values for everyone.

Now the plan is to create more construction jobs to lure them back to reinflate this disastrously deflated balloon? I'd rather hear Led Zeppelin! :)
